COVID-19 Policy for In-Person Sessions

At DBI, we visit many people's homes and we know that our clients may have varying levels of risk factors. We recognize that requirements related to masking and vaccination may feel invasive, and we hope that you can understand that we are making every effort to be able to continue with in-person sessions while keeping our clients, staff, and their families safe.

Vaccination Status

We will only be providing in-person services in which household members are vaccinated. If all adults in the house are vaccinated but there are unvaccinated children (under age 5) in the home, we may be able to do in-person, outdoor sessions.

Masks

DBI staff will be masked for all sessions that take place indoors. You and your family are not required to be masked either indoors or outdoors. DBI staff may also elect to remove their mask when outdoors.

If anyone in your household over age 5 is unvaccinated, or for any reason the information above will not work for you for in-person sessions, we are happy to transition to remote sessions.

Unexpected illness and session changes

Finally, we request that you cancel the session if any person in the household becomes sick (with COVID symptoms or any other communicable illness). If for any reason the information above will not work for in-person sessions, we are happy to transition to remote sessions. Any relevant travel costs for in-person services can be prorated and refunded or applied towards future services.

This is our updated policy as of May 2023.
