What is CU?
Control Unleashed is a program developed by Leslie McDevitt. We create predictable, reliable patterns of behavior to help your dog quickly learn that they can trust you, even when other (potentially scary) things are happening around them.
Learn how to turn stress to confidence and distraction to focus using methods that are 110% positive. Leslie McDevitt’s versatile Control Unleashed® program is designed to help dogs learn how to relax, focus, and work reliably in either stimulating or stressful situations.
Who needs Control Unleashed®?
Dog that are easily distracted and have difficulty concentrating
Dogs that are easily aroused
Dogs that are anxious or stressed
Dog that are unable to control their impulses when excited
This training program can change your dog’s life! This class uses patterns and methods that will help your dog learn to become comfortable and happy in the crazy world that we live in.
Who is this for?
Everyone!
CU is incredibly versatile and can be applied across a variety of contexts. We will meet you where you are with your dog and your goals.
You might find CU exercises life changing if you and your dog are working on:
Getting more comfortable at the vet
Holding still for cooperative care at home
Going for comfortable peaceful walks
Participating in dog sports and the trial environment
Preparing for competing in sports
Engagement or focus in the competition ring
Incorporating choice into your training or life together
Finding the right balance of arousal and calm for success in competition or learning
Creating a successful arrival routine for trials, group classes, or novel environments
This is also a great learning opportunity for trainers who want to learn more about Control Unleashed and its applications!
*Current students in the CCUI program can demonstrate exercises for supervision and approval towards their certification*
