Virtual Intensive One on One Support with Maia Huff-Owen

What Life Would You Like to Live With Your Dog?

Tell us what you'd like to do and enjoy with your dog. Whether your goal is small and specific or part of a bigger change, we'll help you figure out where to begin, what skills to build, and what kind of support will help you get there.

Appointments are typically available within 14 days, so you can start building that life together right away.

What's your goal for your dog? Let's start building the skills to get there.

Our virtual training sessions offer individualized guidance grounded in behavior science, with appointments typically available within two weeks (often the same week!).

Whether you want your dog to feel more comfortable around visitors, enjoy walks together, learn new skills, or navigate a challenging situation, we'll help you identify what you need to make progress.

Why Train Virtually?

Virtual training has advantages that are impossible to achieve during in-person sessions.

We can see your dog as they really behave.

The presence of an unfamiliar trainer in your home can change your dog's behavior, particularly when fear, excitement, or reactions to visitors are part of the problem. Working remotely allows us to observe your dog in familiar surroundings without adding another person to the situation.

We can review behavior that happens outside appointments.

Some of the most important moments occur when a trainer isn't present. Videos of your dog's walks, interactions, and daily routines allow us to examine those moments carefully, replay details, and identify patterns that might otherwise be missed. Video review between sessions is included in the package price.

You learn skills you can use independently.

Because you're the one working directly with your dog, you get to practice observing behavior, making decisions, and adjusting your training. Rather than relying on a trainer to handle your dog, you develop the skills to help your dog yourself.

Training happens in your everyday environment.

We can work with your actual routines, spaces, and equipment, without requiring you to travel or your dog to adjust to an unfamiliar training location.

Who are virtual sessions for?

These sessions are especially well suited to people who are motivated to work with their dogs independently, with expert guidance, feedback, and support along the way.

They're a great fit if you:

How does virtual training work?

Through live online sessions and video review, we'll examine your dog's behavior in everyday situations, teach and practice training techniques, and develop a plan around your goals. You'll receive specific feedback and clear steps to practice between meetings.

Our approach is grounded in behavior science and informed by constructional teaching. This means we begin with what both you and your dog can already do, then build the skills and arrange the conditions that help you succeed together. Rather than focusing only on stopping unwanted behavior, we teach dogs new ways to get what they need and help people develop the observation, handling, and training skills to support them. The aim is to give both you and your dog more opportunities, more choices, and more control over everyday life.

Sessions are offered in three-session packages with full support between live sessions, giving us time to understand your goals, begin training, review your progress, and adjust our approach as needed.

For some families, three sessions may be enough to establish a plan and begin making progress independently. For others, these sessions provide a foundation for continued virtual coaching, more comprehensive behavior support, or in-person training when that's appropriate.
